Izvukli su je na kopno i smjestili u plastičnu posudu, a nakon toga su obavijestili nadležne službe koje bi se trebale pobrinuti za daljnji oporavak ove kornjače. Inače radi se o kornjači koja se nalazi na svjetskom popisu ugroženih i zaštićenih životinja. Nije poznato što ju je dovelo u ovakvo stanje. Najčešći uzrok njihovog stradavanja je zaplitanje u ribarske stajaće mreže.

Residents of Podgora found  a helpless loggerhead turtle floating in the sea.

They pulled it ashore and place din a plastic container, and then they informed the competent authorities, which should ensure the continued recovery of these sea turtles. Otherwise, it is a turtle which is on the world list of  threatened and endangered animals. It is not known what brought it to this state. The most common cause of their injuries is entanglement in fishing net.
